Congratulations to the Bantam B girls!!!
A well earned gold medal for going undefeated in 5 games this weekend and winning the Markham - Stouffville Starsfest Tournament. Starting out with a 0-0 tie in game one, the Bantam B's won four straight including a rematch of game one opponent Toronto Leaside in the final to secure the tournament title by the slightest of margins with a 1-0 victory. The girls gelled into a solid team over a very short time, goaltending was stellar, our defense did a great job limiting scoring chances against and also providing some scoring while the offence kept pressure on the opponents all weekend and were rewarded with some pretty and timely goals.
