About the Belmont Blazers

Founded in 1994, the B.A.D Girls Hockey Association has been a volunteer operated, non-profit Girls Hockey Organization formed to organize and administer minor hockey in Southwestern Ontario. The acronym “B.A.D” is used for its regional operations “Belmont Aylmer Dorchester”. In registration with the OWHA, one town name was selected for representation “Belmont Blazers”. An Executive Committee and Board of Directors has been formed from the general membership to carry out this mandate.

The Belmont Blazers organization is open to all girls, aged 4 and up. You will find our program fun, exciting and competitive, with our main goal being the development of skating and hockey skills.  We represent a number of communities through our various hockey levels:

Tyke, Novice, Atom, PeeWee, Bantam, Midget, Senior.

The Executive Committee consists of elected members with elections held yearly at the Annual General Meeting.  Appointed Board Members, Directors and Sub-Committees are formed to undertake projects such as evaluations, tournaments, discipline, etc.  The Executive Committee, its Directors and Board Members meet approximately once a month.
